Oh Buttons!!!

Its almost that time for children to go back to school. It can be a bit unnerving to think about packing lunches, planning quick nutritious snacks, and out the door you go ready breakfasts.All the while listening to your 11 year old vent about how she's not being able to be an individual while wearing her school uniform. (Sigh) I remind her that she can still be unique by wearing her uniform and adding accessories to complete her look. Which brings us to our first back to school project button earrings.

Since she can not wear any other jewelry except stud earrings (no dangly things :( to her dismay) I had to think fast and give her something to make her feel like her outgoing energetic self.

Here is how they turned out......

She loves them. Now she's hooked and I am happy making them for her in her school colors, for themed events, and now listing them in my etsy store.

I feel like I have dodged the crisis situation (slight chuckle) until she comes home and asks can I make some for a "few" of her best friends. A simililar situation happened last year when I had to make hairbows for her then a "few" of her best friends......

What's a mom to do?? Oh fiddlesticks...I mean Oh Buttons!!!
